Frank A Hedgcock David Garrick and his French Friends Stanley Paul & Co 1912 0405086105 / 9780405086106 Hardback Very Good with no dust jacket Green cloth binding with gilt lettering inc facsimile of Garrick's signature on front. Corners bent. Some markings inculding library mark on the spine. Foxing on pages. Book has a hand written inscription signed by the author to A(lexander) M(eyrick) Broadley, also contains a manuscript postcard to same (nd) which has been stuck onto the free endpaper. There is a book plate: from the library of A M Broadley at his home The Knapp in Bradpole Dorset stuck to the fixed endpaper. Newspaper cuttings containing three reviews have been stuck between the free end paper and the half title, also included is another manuscript letter (dated 15/2/1912) from the author to A M Broadley thanking him for his assistance and expressing the author's gratitude. There is a cancelled library mark on the reverse of the title page. The free endpaper at the back of the book has a press cutting, giving another review of the book, stuck to it. Stuck to the fixed endpaper at the back of the book are a, modern copy, of an excerpt from Bristow's Catalogue No265 and a, modern, facsimile of a letter from Garrick. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 442 pages
