Brown leather half-binding; somewhat rubbed and worn; label detached and half is miisng laid in at front, corners a little worn; front external joint partially exposed, but backstrip and binding intact, and binding very sound. Pale brown marbled boards, a little rubbed. Bookplates of antiquarian book-dealer Robert Washington Oates, and sometime Labour MP for Hampstead Benjamin Charles George Whitaker on front pastedown and front endpaper respectively. pp lightly spotted, but still very supple. Both parts of Rights of Man lack half-title pages. The Genuine Trial... includes the half-title page (which is scarce); this edition also contains a pagination error - pp 55/6 are omitted, but text is continuous (according to the British Library's English Short Title Catalogue). Remains of titling label (from spine) laid-in. p171 (the final page) of "Rights of Man (pt I) has been repaired. The "Rights of Man Part the Second" does not state an edition number, so is a presumed first edition.; 8vo (5 1/2" x 8 1/2"); vii-x + 8-171; vi-xv + 2-178; 6-143 pages
