Brown marbled boards; very light wear. Blk leather half-binding; light wear; binding tight; gilt decoration on spine still quite bright; title blind-stamped at head of spine. Front joint partially exposed, but binding otherwise intact (eg no pp loose); marbled pastedowns and endpapers. B/w illustrations. Very useful guide to mid-Victorian London for the curious time-traveller. The book is undated, but the authorities seem to agree on 1852, though I can find no references to the Great Exhibition of 1851 (which you might have expected to be a feature of such a publication), so perhaps it was published earlier. ; 8vo (5" x 7 1/2"); 306 pages
