Corners worn. Gilt titling still quite bright. Pale grey marbled boards, a little worn and rubbed. Binding intact, but a litle frail; rear joint partially exposed. Bookplate on front pastedown. Many b/w illustrations, engraving, plans, fold-out plan, etc. The Builder was a journal of architecture published in the UK in the 19th and 20th centuries. This volume contains a wonderful array - a potpourri, if you will - of articles and features on the latest trends and developments in late-Victorian domestic, municipal and ecclesiastical architecture and design (especially in the burgeoning arts and crafts movement), and items of historical interest, etc., etc. Henry Heathcote Statham (1839-1924) was himself a noted architect and composer.; 4to (9" x 13"); 618 pages
