Pale grey boards (no d/jkt); light wear; a trifle marked; binding tight. B/w illustrations. The New Zealander Pollett's account of a walking tour of England, "peddling" his poetry door-to-door, as it were, and the people he met on the way, some famous. Tipped in at the front is a handwritten letter from the author to one Agnes Fox, who bought some of his poems (referenced on p146); also tipped-in are the very poems (typed, signed by the author) that she bought. There are occasional ink notes in the text, esp p146, so probably by Miss Fox, and other pencil notes, authorship unknown.
